The best chargers for your batteries are the ones with peak detection charge facilities that detect when the battery is full and will not over charge the battery. Q.  How should I charge a Ni-Cad?    Only charge a Ni-Cad battery when it is flat and cool. Store a Ni-Cad in a flat state. Looked after a Ni-Cad battery should be able to be recharged over 300 times.
